Hats off to our IB Diploma Classes of 2017 in Oxford and Torbay!

Big congratulations to our IB Diploma Classes of 2017 at EF Academy Oxford and Torbay for scoring exceptional results in their IB exams!

In Oxford, our students scored an exceptional average IB score of 34. 40% scored 35 points or above, while 12% of students scored 40+ points, placing them in the top 9% of students worldwide (latest IBO stats). In Torbay, our IB students scored an average IB score of 33. 45% scored 34 points or above and scored a superb 40% of IB subject grades in the top two mark bands of 6 or 7.

Our students can look forward to attending some of the best universities in the world after their well-deserved summer break.

EF Academy Oxford Top IB Scores:

  • Emma Faverio, from Italy, scored 41 points and has an unconditional acceptance at University College London (#7 in the world) to study European Social and Political Studies.
  • Varvara Semenova, from Russia, who also scored 41 points, has an unconditional place at Imperial College London (#8 in the world) to read Physics.
  • Mohammad Javad Siahkamari, from Iran, scored 40 points and has secured a place at the University of Toronto (#31 in the world) to read Engineering.
  • Filippo Biancifiori, from Italy, also scored 40 points, and has secured a place at Warwick University to read Economics (#3 in the UK, by subject).

EF Academy Torbay Top IB Scores:

  • Barbara Sinz, from Austria, scored 40 points and has a firm offer to read Genetics at the University of Glasgow (#29 in the UK).
  • Vita Olmanst, from Norway, scored 39 IB points is awaiting confirmation of offers from University College London (#7 in the world) and University of Bristol (#19 in the UK) to study Arts and Science on their Liberal Arts Programs.
  • Eduardo Oliva Blanco, from Venezuela, scored 38 points and has an unconditional offer from Williams College to study Liberal Arts (#1 in the U.S., by subject).
  • Anna Smoljaninov, from Russia, scored 37 points and has been accepted by University of Exeter (#9 in the UK) to read Economics and Finance.
  • Abdul Mateen, from Saudi Arabia, is already starting a yearlong higher certificate course in digital film production in a week’s time instead of taking a traditional gap year. He will be in beautiful Cape Town studying at SAE, one of the world’s leading creative media institutions.
