EF Stories: Alessandro from Italy at EF Cape Town

We asked our students to share their experiences: What did they enjoy most about their time abroad? Which activities did they take part in? What advice do they have for those who are about to embark on a similar journey? Here's what they shared with us!
EF Stories: Alessandro from Italy at EF Cape Town

I've just returned from the most incredible experience of my life. I spent two weeks in August in Cape Town, South Africa, and it truly lived up to all my expectations. These two weeks were packed with intense sightseeing, making the most of a brief yet wonderful journey.

I was captivated by the natural beauty of South Africa, both its landscapes and its people. I indulged in plenty of hiking on Table Mountain and in the surrounding hills, among many other activities. I had an absolute blast paragliding, going on a safari, snorkeling, and even taking the plunge with bungee jumping, which undoubtedly stood out as the highlight of the entire adventure. The sunsets over the ocean were equally unforgettable. This experience served as a poignant reminder of the importance of cherishing every moment in life and letting go of unnecessary distractions.

Prior to my departure, I was plagued by constant anxiety. Perhaps that was the only "negative" aspect of the experience. However, the moment I set foot in Cape Town, everything transformed. The warm welcome from the locals made me feel right at home. If I had the chance, I would embark on this journey once more, but this time, I'd extend my stay considerably!
