خمس نصائح للطلاب الراغبين بالدراسة في الخارج

The reasons for students choosing to study abroad vary, as there are those who travel  to learn a language abroad , or  to prepare for undergraduate  and postgraduate studies. Regardless of whether you intend to study abroad for weeks or months, here are some tips that will help you:

Fear not during your study abroad

You are not the first or only student interested in traveling and studying abroad in a new place. There are many like you, some in more difficult situations than you. Go forward with confidence and enthusiasm to new experiences and opportunities to meet new people who may change the course of your life.

Learn the customs, traditions and etiquette of your host

The best way to build relationships and acquaintances is to deal with others with their customs and manners, because this shows them your interest and respect for their society and culture. And even if you made a mistake in some customs and etiquette because you did not know them, they will greatly appreciate that respect for you.

Share your life and experiences with them and always be honest

Exchange with people the stories of your life and your Arab and Islamic culture, and ask them about their stories, backgrounds and ideas as well. You will find many commonalities and connections with people from all over the world.

Avoid being lazy

Wake up early, sleep late, and accept all invitations from colleagues and new acquaintances. Go learn and live your life as much as you can. This is your chance to enjoy freedom in life. However, respect the commitments and promises you make. Keeping promises is very important. There is nothing more difficult than restoring the trust and respect of those who have lost them.

Always keep your mind open

Life is a learning journey, from birth to death. Try to learn something new every day, and keep in mind that people see and think differently from you. You represent the culture and civilization of your country, your family and what you believe in. Respect people and their rights to have a different point of view than you. Discuss these different points of view with all respect and politeness. You are not obligated to be convinced of what you do not agree on, but whoever discusses and understands the different points of view will gain great experience in life.
