Estilo indireto com ordens e solicitações

Para levar uma ordem ou solicitação ao discurso indireto, podemos utilizar um verbo como "tell" + infinitivo: He told me to go away. O padrão é este: verbo + objeto indireto + infinitivo. O objeto indireto é o interlocutor. Outros verbos que utilizam o mesmo modo para informar sobre ordens e solicitações são os seguintes: "command", "order", "warn", "ask", "advise", "invite", "beg", "teach" e "forbid".

Para levar ao discurso indireto as solicitações de objetos, utiliza-se o padrão "asked for" + objeto.

Sugestões

As sugestões são normalmente levadas para o discurso indireto através do uso dos verbos "suggest", "insist", "recommend", "demand", "request" e "propose" seguidos por uma oração introduzida por "that". Nessas orações, os termos "that" e "should" são opcionais, como demonstrado nos dois primeiros exemplos da lista a seguir. Note que os verbos "suggest", "recommend" e "propose" também podem ser seguidos por um "gerund", com o objetivo de excluir o objeto indireto (interlocutor) e, dessa forma, fazer uma sugestão mais educada. Esse uso do "gerund" está ilustrado no quarto e quinto exemplos abaixo.
