Relatando desejos, intenções e promessas

Para formular uma intenção, desejo ou promessa no estilo indireto, utilizamos um verbo declarativo apropriado seguido por uma oração iniciada por "that" que inclua o termo "would', ou ainda uma oração iniciada por infinitivo com "to". Os verbos utilizados nesse padrão incluem "hope", "promise", "threaten", "guarantee" e "swear". Note que o termo "that" é opcional, como demonstra o primeiro exemplo a seguir.
