At EF, we don't believe in one-size-fits-all language learning. That’s why we offer English, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese and Foundation Year courses in Singaore to suit your every need. With regular intakes and courses ranging from 2-52 weeks, you can choose the length and intensity of your studies along with your special interest classes.
Our language programs in Singapore are structured to give you a fundamental understanding of your study language and enable you to use it in an academic or professional context. Personalize your course with special interest classes ranging from examination preparation to career-specific topics.

The following courses are offered at EF Singapore and are all full-time:
Certificate in English (up to 4 weeks)
Certificate in English (Long Term) (5 to 52 weeks)
Certificate in Mandarin (2 to 52 weeks)
Certificate in Korean (2 to 52 weeks)
Certificate in Japanese (2 to 52 weeks)
EF Foundation Year (9 months)

Course intensity

Intensive Course
Learn a language as quickly as possible for academic or professional reasons. Lessons are held in the morning and afternoon, blending classroom and technologically-enhanced learning.
Lessons per week – 32 lessons of 40 minutes
Entry requirement – Certificate in English (long term), Certificate in Korean, Certificate in Japanese: 14 years old; Certificate in English and Certificate in Mandarin: 7 years old
Weekly program:
16 General Language Lessons to build grammar, vocabulary, written and spoken communication skills. Lessons include group discussions, conversational role plays, tasked-based assignments, written exercises, vocabulary review
4 Project Sessions to further improve research and communication skills through practical work tailored to students' interests
10 Special Interest Lessons focusing on subjects that interest students. These vary: business, music, vocabulary, language & film, pronunciation and grammar
2 Lecture Sessions (double lesson) either by a teacher or guest speaker for listening comprehension practice and cultural development
General Course
Gain a sound understanding of the language through a well-rounded course. Lessons are held in the morning and afternoon, blending classroom and technologically-enhanced learning.
Lessons per week – 26 lessons of 40 minutes
Entry requirement – Certificate in English (long term), Certificate in Korean, Certificate in Japanese: 14 years old; Certificate in English and Certificate in Mandarin: 7 years old

Combine plenty of free time with morning and afternoon language lessons. This course concentrates on understanding and speaking the language in practical situations.
Lessons per week – 20 lessons of 40 minutes
Entry requirement – Certificate in English (long term), Certificate in Korean, Certificate in Japanese: 14 years old; Certificate in English and Certificate in Mandarin: 7 years old
Start dates – Available June to August only
