Your weekly schedule balances learning and exploration. Classes alternate between mornings and afternoons, averaging 4–5 hours per day. Beyond the classroom, you’ll enjoy activities, cultural experiences, and social events. Weekends are perfect for exploring your city, taking day trips, or relaxing with friends. Plus, school breaks and holidays give you even more opportunities to travel and immerse yourself in your host country’s culture.

Yes. Our carefully structured terms and personalized teaching method help you build fluency step by step. You’ll first develop essential language skills, then deepen your understanding through real-world practice and cultural immersion. At the end of your program, you’ll receive an EF Certificate of Achievement with your EF Standard English Test (EF SET) results — proof of your progress that’s recognized by universities and employers worldwide.

When you complete your program, you’ll receive certificates documenting your language fluency, coursework, and results. If you take an official exam like Cambridge English, IELTS, TOEFL, or TOEIC, you'll also earn the corresponding certification. Plus, you can also gain additional credentials like the EF Life Skills Certificate, EF Certificate of Internship or Volunteer Experience, or US University Transfer Credit — valuable for university applications and career opportunities.

Activities vary by destination, ensuring there’s something for everyone — whether you’re passionate about sports, interested in arts and culture, or eager to explore nature. In New York, you might tour Manhattan’s landmarks or visit world-class museums, while in San Diego, you can hit the beach or learn to surf. EF Activity Managers also organize midweek excursions and social events to help you practice the language and make friends. Plus, your two-week break is perfect for bigger adventures.

Our term structure is simple. Here’s a quick guide: 2 terms = approx. 6 months (1 academic semester) 3 terms = approx. 9 months (1 academic year) 4 terms = approx. 11 months (1 academic year extended) Start dates: September, January, April, and June.
