More than a Language Course

Spend nine or six months abroad becoming fluent in Spanish, French, Italian, German, or Chinese and learning the culture of your host country! An EF Academic Year Abroad is the ideal way to completely immerse yourself in a language. First, perfect your language skills; then, study academic subjects in your areas of interest. You'll also have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience through an internship and volunteer programs with a local company. Return home with language credentials, university credits, friends from around the world and memories to last a lifetime.

Intensive Language Lessons

You begin with language lessons to improve your proficiency, focusing on essential communication skills. Taught by experienced teachers, lessons help you acquire both written and conversational skills through class discussions, written exercises, group work and sessions in our language labs (iLABs). You can also enhance your progress even more outside of the classroom – anytime, anywhere with the Efekta™ PodMovies.

Academic Studies

Once you have reached a sufficient level of language proficiency, you will take academic subjects of your choice, such as history, art, literature or business. click here
