Take advantage of your time abroad
When classes are over for the day, be sure to check the Activities Office bulletin board or in the iLab to see what's happening. Here’s a sample of some of the activities you might find:
A full calendar of free time activitiesHaving fun is an essential part of learning. It’s when you’re relaxed that you’re most able to begin using what you’ve learned in class in a natural way. That’s why every EF school has a full-time Activities Director whose job it is to fill your free time with social, cultural and sporting activities. From football tournaments to tennis matches to city sightseeing tours, EF plans something fun for every day of the week. |

Cultural activities:We’ve carefully chosen school locations that are ideal for exploring the cultural treasures of your new city. EF in historic Paris is only 15 minutes away from key sites like the Opera or the Museum of Luvre. EF Barcelona is a short walk to Las Ramblas, Sagrada Familia, and Colon Sq. EF Rome is virtually around the corner from the Vatican and the Sistine Chappel. |

EF sports, events and outingsEvery school is located in a city offering numerous opportunities for playing or watching your favorite sport-whether it’s soccer, basketball, tennis, cycling, golf, volleyball or swimming. Schools like Paris or Munich offer excellent skiing in winter. There’s plenty of water sports at schools such as Barcelona, Malaga, or Costa Rica. |

Optional EF ExcursionsEvery week, EF staff will help you see the best of your host country by organizing visits to nearby places of interest. From Quito, you can visit the Galapago Islands; from Beijing, the Great Wall; from Nice, the bright lights of Monte Carlo. We offer these excursions at a reduced price so that you can truly enjoy your host culture. |
