Accommodation
Junior Accommodation types
We recognize that [Swedish] youth between the ages of 10 and 14 exhibit a wide range of maturity levels. That’s why we offer several accommodation choices—to meet differing needs for independence. But what they all sharein common is EF’s commitment to comfort and safety.
EF Host Family
Living in the home of a local family
offers total immersion in the culture
of the language. A home-stay with
a carefully screened and selected
host family is particularly suited to
students who want the comfort and
support of a caring environment.
It provides the additional benefit
of accent-reduction for those
having difficulty with authentic
pronunciation. All host families
have been carefully screened in
their homes to meet EF standards
(though customs vary from family to
family across countries). Many EF
host families have been welcoming
EF students for decades.
Availabity: All EF locations except
Somerset & Rookesbury.
EF Junior Resort
In more holiday-oriented locations,
EF offers accommodation at an allyouth
resort complex. Appropriate
for mature and seasoned travellers,
This option provides a relaxed
environment with maximum
opportunity for holiday-making and
daily contact with youth from around
the globe. A resort manager is onhand
24-hours a day to maintain high
standards of conduct and safety.
Availabity: Isle of Wight, Somerset
and Malta
EF Junior College
At EF Rookesbury, we also offer
student dormitory accommodation
on the campus of a prestigious
British boarding school. Those
who choose this option gain a rare
glimpse into what the daily life of a
public-school student is like, and
enjoy great sports and educational
facilities. This option is often ideal
for younger students who need the
added security and structure that
enclosed campuses provide, and EF
staff are available for support around
the clock.
