Before you know it you’ll be packing your bags, getting ready to take off on your language trip. Don’t forget to book our extra options which will ensure your trip will be as safe and activity packed as possible!
Phone Cards
Even though you are far away from home you can easily keep in touch with your friends and family back home. We offer two types of cards:
Pre paid phone cards (to use at the host family or in a public phone booth in the course town).

All students will get an EF ekit International pre-paid phone card before departure. You then need to charge it either on the internet or by phone before your trip, and you or your family can also add more call time to your account during your trip. You can find all the information in www.ef.ekit.com
Charge your card:
1. When you have received your phonecard with the account number and PIN printed on the back, simply go online to www.ef.ekit.com.
2. Click on RECHARGE in the Global phonecard box, then enter the account number printed on your phonecard. Click Recharge.
3. Enter the details of your Credit or debit card and select the amount you wish to add. Your family can easily recharge your account while you’re away, remember to leave them the PIN.
You can also charge your card calling the local access number for the country you are in and follow the instructions.
Mobile SIM cards (local SIM card you can use with your own mobile phone)
A local SIM card for your destination country allows you to send and receive text messages as well as make and receive phone calls to both local and international numbers more cost effectively. Our local SIM cards can be used in any mobile phone and are available to students going to the UK, US, Canada and Australia. Remember to check that your mobile phone is not SIM locked. Students going to the US and Canada need a GSM tri-band mobile phone for it to work in these countries. Once you have ordered your SIM card you will get it in the mail before your departure.
Erika Travel Insurance
As a teenager being abroad for the first time, it can be difficult knowing all the facts about your insurance in case something happens. Therefore we would like to facilitate for you so you don’t have to worry. All our Leaders are covered by the ERIKA insurance and know the procedures, what coverage it includes and about the ERIKA administration of things. Apart from that it is tailormade for students being abroad for a short period and it has a unique coverage.

Sports Options
Why not practice your favorite sports or try something totally new while studying abroad? If you are a beginner or advanced, either way you will get tuition at your level. EF Sport Courses are led by native leaders / professionals and the classes will normally take place in the afternoons. Notice that sport courses can take place simultaneously with other free-time activities. If you book a sport option you can’t book the fun pack! We recommend you take your personal equipment needed with you from home, but you can also rent them while in the course town.

Climbing
5 sessions to learn the secrets of rock climbing. You will practice in a brand new indoor practice hall. Weather and level permitting, you might also be given the opportunity to practice outdoor.

Diving
Take a PADI open water diving course and learn to scuba dive. For experienced divers we offer the PADI advanced open diving course. PADI is the most widely recognized diving certification in the world and coaches are professional PADI instructors. The course is a combination of theory lessons, confined water training and open water training dives.
