Improve your English so you can prepare for an English speaking university
Accelerated language learning
Our flexible length courses teach you the academic English skills, both spoken and written, needed to succeed at an English speaking university. Designed to offer maximum flexibility, students can begin any Monday of the year at any EF International Language School in their host country and study for as long as they like. Courses are taught at all levels, from beginner to proficiency. Our six or nine month Academic English programmes are especially designed to accelerate your language learning.
Courses for all ages and abilities
EF Academic English courses are suitable for students who are aged 16 years and older. They are especially well suited for high school or university graduates who need to meet the minimum language requirements to enter the following EF International Academy programmes: Pre-International Baccalaureate, International Baccalaureate Diploma programme and A-Levels programme.

EF International Academy in New York and Torquay are IB World Schools, offering the IB Diploma Programme.
EF International Academy in Oxford and Brisbane are candidate schools* for the Diploma Programme. These schools are pursuing authorization as IB World Schools. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that these schools believe is important for our students.
EF International Academy in Singapore and Vancouver are schools interested in pursuing authorization as an IB World School delivering the Diploma Programme.
*Only schools authorized by the IB organization can offer any of its three academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the Diploma Programme. Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
