Study Abroad in Ecuador
Why study Spanish in Ecuador?
- Ecuadorians speak very clearly and their Spanish is easy to understand. This is especially helpful for beginners.
- The Galapagos Islands are just a 1-hour flight to the west of the mainland and are legally part of Ecuador. In this untouched natural paradise you can swim with dolphins and sea lions or admire giant turtles at the beach.
- The official currency is the US dollar so you won't have any currency hassles.
- Ecuador is inexpensive compared to many countries. For instance a full lunch will cost about $2!
- Quito has the largest, best-preserved, and least-altered historic city center in the Americas.
Quito was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1978.
