Learn Chinese in China
Why Study Chinese in China?
- China has one of the world's most ancient surviving cultures. When you learn Chinese (in China especially) you gain access to a civilization stretching back continuously over 5000 years!
- China is a growing world superpower. As the country expands its reach, more and more people will want to do business with China. Having an understanding of the culture and language gives you a head start.
- China remains a very inexpensive country for daily living. Although Beijing and Shanghai have seen a boom in prices, food and travel across the country remain very reasonable. For instance, the base taxi fare in Shanghai is a mere 11rmb ($1.15) which will get you quite far.
- Bilingual speakers of Mandarin and English are in demand. Studying Chinese in China makes you a valuable future employee of many multi-national and American companies.
