Application Process
Our staff is always there to guide and support you, every step of the application process.
Application Package
As soon as we receive your pre-application form, we will send you an application package. These forms will request information from you which will help us match you with a host family.
Interview
You'll be invited to interview with an EF representative close to your home. This is a great time for you and your parents to find out what EF High School Year is all about.
Acceptance
Soon after the interview we'll let you know whether you've been accepted to the program. We consider all aspects of your personality, as well as your grades and language skills.
Pre-departure information
After you've been accepted, we will help prepare you for your exciting year abroad! There will be meetings, informational packets and contact with former students who have studied in your host country. You'll also attend our EF orientation before you leave.
Language & Cultural Camp
This is a great way to learn more about your host country, make some of your first friends abroad and take a trip to an exciting city in your new country. Want to know more?
Throughout the Year
Local EF representatives will check in monthly to see how things are going. Feel free to call them whenever you'd like to chat or discuss a problem. Find out other students' experiences in the EF newsletter or even submit your own news.
Back in [Home Country]
You'll receive the EF Diploma of Student Exchange, certifying your cultural exchange, improved language skills and independence. This, along with your improved confidence, is a step ahead in your future career or academic plans. You'll also have the opportunity to share your experiences with perspective students at informational meetings or interviews.
