Private and boarding schools

EF has selected a small, but exclusive, group of private schools in Australia, UK, Canada and USA that has a wide choice of subjects and extra curricular activities, offering something for every student. The majority of these schools offer boarding (accommodation at the school residence) along with the academic program, while a few have host family accommodation available. A perfect option for the more independant student. Please note that this program is not administered by EF Foundation for Foreign Study.

Students can apply to attend the school for one year only or a longer period, making it possible to gain a foreign high school diploma and maybe even continue on to university abroad.

	D’Overbroeck’s College Oxford, Great Britian Situated in a historical university city, D’Overbroeck exclusively offers the so-called Sixth Form courses which lead to A-levels, the British High School diploma.
	Kent College, Canterbury, Kent, Great Britain Just half an hour outside London, Kent College accommodates approximately 600 students from around the world.
	Rossall School, Fleetwood, Lancashire, Great Britain Located in the Lake District, this school provides an excellent foundation for international university studies, offering the highly recognised ”International Baccalaureate.
	The Athenian School, Danville, Californa, USA Athenian provides an engaging, challanging education on this beautiful 75-acre campus near San Francisco.
	St Johnsbury Academy, St Johnsbury, Vermont, USA Extraordinary school offering 200 courses, supported by first rate facilities, attracting more than 150 boarding students from all over USA and around the world.
	St John’s-Kilmarnock School, Breslau, Ontario, Canada A leading Canadian, independent day-school. All international students receive personalized attention and individual tutoring from each faculty member.
	Bishop’s College School, Lennoxville, Québec, Canada The school with its faculty serves 230 students and the 26 buildings making up the campus is spread over 300 acres of playing fields and woodlands. Englsih is the official language, but some courses are tought in both English and French.
