Discover Atlanta with EF
Atlanta is the most dynamic city in the American South. With a multicultural metro area that’s home to 5 million people, this is a place where you could explore American history in the morning, swim with whale sharks in the afternoon and eat authentic Southern cooking in the evening. EF’s activities coordinators are onsite to ensure you make the most of your time in Georgia’s capital city.
Sightseeing & Culture
Explore the life and achievements of a great American figure at the Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Site. Swim with whale sharks or watch a live dolphin show at the Georgia Aquarium, the largest aquarium in the world. Picnic in Piedmont Park, in the shadow of Atlanta’s towering skyscrapers. Or sway to the rhythms of the annual Atlanta Jazz Festival.
Shopping
The Buckhead district, home to EF Atlanta, is one of the city’s best shopping districts. You can browse dozens of designer shops at the Lenox Square Mall and Phipps Plaza without leaving the neighborhood.
Sports & Outdoors
With a professional team in every major sport, Atlanta is one of America’s best sports cities. Have the quintessential American experience at an Atlanta Braves baseball game, or cheer on the beloved Falcons at a football game. Just don’t root for the visiting team; locals take their sports seriously.
Excursions
Hike up nearby Stone Mountain for some of the region’s best views or float down the Chattahoochee River on an inflatable tube. On the weekends, head to Georgia’s Atlantic coast for a weekend in Savannah, one of the country’s most historic cities.
Entertainment and Nightlife
Head to Midtown for some serious clubbing or have a relaxed evening at the bars and restaurants of the leafy Virginia Highlands neighborhood. You can also catch a live music performance in the Little Five Points district or chat with friends at a hip Inman Park coffeehouse.
