Cambridge Seminar - Exploring Trends and Best Practice in Language Training

On 28-29 May 2009 EF Corporate Language Training hosted a two day seminar on language training. The seminar brought together major multinational companies to explore the challenges of improving global business communication and to examine best practice in running large-scale language training programs. Throughout the seminar, participants explored current language training trends and challenges in areas such as: how to identify corporate and specific needs, how to achieve measurable results and how to deliver efficient language training on a global scale while maximizing return on investment in this area of training. During the seminar all participants experienced language training for professional business people “live” during a visit to the EF Executive Institute in Cambridge.

Companies participate in Sao Paulo language training seminar

On April 16, more than 50 major companies gathered in Sao Paulo, Brazil to explore how to increase efficiency in language training, achieve better results and create cost savings. During the event Rogerio S Meireles, Country Manger of Brazil discussed the advantages of online study, how to save money and achieve stunning results. Participants also gained insight into the latest developments at EF´s Executive Language Institutes in Boston and Cambridge.

Shanghai Seminar - Exploring Trends and Best Practice in Language Training

On April 23-24 EF Corporate Language Training held a two days seminar. Companies flew in to learn more about the challenges of language training such as identifying current trends, measuring results and offering language training on a global scale. The participants got a chance to visit EF’s Executive Training Institute in Shanghai to have a closer look at EF´s online school, Englishtown. They also got an opportunity to participate in a live Englishtown conversation class.

EF Education First (EF) and University of Cambridge announce ground-breaking collaboration

EF Education First (EF) and University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL) have recently announced a ground-breaking global collaboration. EF and Cambridge ESOL, provider of the world’s leading range of English language qualifications, are planning several initiatives aimed at fundamentally improving the way that students learn English. EF is also working with the University of Cambridge Research Centre for English and Applied Linguistics to establish a research unit dedicated to exploring, improving, and accelerating the language learning experience.

EF Executive Institute in Boston

Staff and teachers at the EF Executive Institute in Boston have been working hard to develop a new curriculum to integrate with the new EF book series. The curriculum is now available to all students at the EF Executive Institute in Boston. Teachers have led workshops to present new academic material and explore the series with their colleagues. By keeping ahead of developments in academic publications, information technology and teaching methodologies, we continue to deliver the most up-to-date materials to all our students.

Companies participate in Moscow language training seminar

On Feb 12, more than 30 companies gathered in Moscow to learn more about how to measure and maximize return on Investment in Language Training. Micael Timonen from EF Corporate Language Training conducted a live session on our online school - Englishtown. Alexander Pechenkin from Gazprom Corporate University led an in-depth discussion on measuring and improving e-learning efficiency.

France Telecom

France Telecom selected EF Corporate Language Training as a supplier in spring 2008. We were chosen to help improve the company's language knowledge as it continues to expand on an international scale thanks to our strong academic approach, extensive variety of learning tools and wide selection of courses. France Telecom has already seen higher proficiency and performance levels as a result of the training delivered so far.

Scania

Rather than downsizing, Scania AB has decided to invest in educating employees during the economic downturn. "This will allow us to become even stronger once the market improves," says Per Hallberg, CEO and Chief of Production and Purchases at Scania. EF Corporate Language Training is Scania's preferred language training provider.

Polizia, Italy

The Italian Police Force, Polizia, are working with EF Corporate Language Training to improve language skills. By May, more than 1,800 staff across 10 police management schools will have begun their English education with EF.

Beijing 2008

EF has been selected as the Beijing 2008 Games Official Language Training Services Supplier.
