College and university study in the US
When you choose an EF College Year, you will attend an American community college or 4-year college. After high school, many American students pursue advanced study. The US college & university system offers literally thousands of study programs. Which one you select greatly depends upon the type of qualification you wish to obtain. These range from Career Certificates in technical fields to undergraduate (bachelor)degrees in the arts and sciences. Many students choose to begin their education at community colleges, which often have flexible class schedules and more lenient English requirements. After completing their some basic academic requirements at community college, students often transfer to a different 4-year college or university to pursue a Bachelor’s degree.
