Student Life

Having fun is a big part of studying abroad. We are dedicated to making sure you have a fantastic time and experience all there is to offer.

Sightseeing & Culture

Take in Auckland’s best views from atop the Sky Tower, the southern hemisphere’s tallest building, where the truly brave can bungee jump from the top or walk safely around the tower’s edge. Climb to the top of the Harbour Bridge and take in spectacular skyline views. Embark on a cruise around Waitemata Harbour and discover the numerous wooded beach reserves surrounding Auckland. Hike to the top of One Tree Hill, a volcanic peak in the middle of the city sacred to the Maori people.

Shopping

High Street and Vulcan Lane are home to international and local fashion boutiques. The historic Britomart neighborhood on Auckland’s waterfront is teeming with designer storefronts, bustling cafes and a colorful weekly farmers’ market.

Sports & Outdoors

New Zealanders are in love with the national sport of Rugby. The dominant national team, the “All Blacks”, is a source of Kiwi pride and seeing a match at legendary Eden Park is a must. Throw a Frisbee in Domain Park, built around the cone of an extinct volcano. Hike the Hunua Range, a forested landscape teeming with exotic wildlife. Kayak the magnificent Milford Sound or scale a rock face within view of Auckland’s skyline.

Excursions

Watch dolphins plunge through the waters around the spectacular Bay of Islands. Marvel at the sparkling glow worms in the dark corners of the Waitomo Caves. Relax on the unspoiled island paradise of Great Barrier Island. Hike atop the Franz Josef Glacier or the legendary Milford Track. Get away to the unspoiled beaches of Tawhitokino Regional Park or ferry to the volcanic Rangitoto Island.

Entertainment & Nightlife

Head to a comedy club on Queen Street for a few laughs or dance the night away in a K Road night club. Sip cocktails and watch boats come into port at a Viaduct Harbour café. Browse the Parnell neighborhood’s art galleries, who keep their doors open late once per month.
